The Buswick Inlet is located along the waterfront communities of Williamsburg and Greenpoint. As a restored estuarine habitat it would provide a wonderful " nature relief" and estuarine habitat that can become and natural resource for teachers, students environmental studies and a park for the community to enjoy.

Providing the community with baseline water quality and general environmental survey as well as including the community in the data collection process, The Urban Divers help to demystify and make accessible the science that will inform the planning for future uses on these waterways. The community begins to have a more accurate understandting of their local estuary habitat, allowing all of us to become better stewards. This educational process assists concerned citizens and civic leaders in being active, informed and affective particpants in the public policy decision making process.
